Lamoine - Jane A. Washek, 76, died Tuesday, November 1, 2016, after a long illness at Seaport Village Healthcare, Ellsworth. Jane was born July 21, 1940, in Boston, MA, the daughter of John H. and Marie M. (Jenkins) Washek. She was a graduate of Wayland High School in Wayland, MA. Jane was our family historian, loved tea parties, gardening, and most of all Maine.
Jane is survived by a niece Kelleigh Lynch and her husband Michael of Upton, MA; three nephews, John Washek and his wife Kelly of Hopkinton, MA, Kevin Washek and fiancée Amy Beckett of Wayland, MA, and Matthew Washek and his wife Marie of Newton, MA; several grand nieces and grand nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Phillip J. Aube in 2007; and brother John B. Washek.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m., Wednesday, November 9, 2016, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St, Ellsworth, ME 04605. Interment will be at the Bourne National Veterans Cemetery, Bourne, MA, at a later date.
In Lieu of flowers, donations in Jane's memory may be made to the Beth C. Wright Cancer Center, PO Box 322, Ellsworth, ME 04605.
