James's Story

Columbia Falls - James Albert Wallace Oliver, age 32, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, September 19, 2016. He was born on June 22, 1984, in Ellsworth, the first born of Patrick Oliver and Florence (Wallace) Oliver of Columbia Falls.
James graduated from Narraguagus High School. He was referred to as a "people person" and even a "Ladies' man". He spent time on Facebook and he never met a stranger. Socializing was his thing. However, what he enjoyed the most was his family. James loved his family very much. They took many family vacations, drove to Las Vegas and even traveled together for 28 days. Lots of wonderful memories were made.
James' hobbies were collecting trains and Matchbox's. James was a skilled mechanic and worked several hours on vehicles of his own. He enjoyed hanging out with his dad, Patrick, whether it was just having a cup of coffee or at work at County Concrete. Other employment included construction jobs, flagging, Wyman's, and Jaspers. James will be dearly missed by his family.
Survivors include his father and mother, Patrick Oliver and Florence (Wallace) Oliver of Columbia Falls; his very special sister, Jamie Oliver of Columbia Falls; his special Aunt Laura, and several dear aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his beloved grandparents, Morton B. Oliver, Elaine Look Oliver Ouellette, Alfred Ouellette, Ernest A. Phillips, Marie Phillips, James Albert Wallace, and Mary Phinney Wallace; and his favorite Uncle "Booga".
James' memorial service is scheduled for 2pm Friday, September 30, 2016, at the United Methodist Church, off Rt. 1 in Columbia. Family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of life reception downstairs at the church and the graveside service at Mailey Hill Cemetery on Station Road in Columbia. Arrangements entrusted to Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Home in Milbridge, ME.
