HAMPDEN - James "Web" Clark Sr., 79, passed away January 29, 2015, at a Boston hospital. He was born June 4, 1935 in Ellsworth the son of Roland and Anne (Burrill) Clark.
Web graduated from Bangor High School in the Class of 1954 where he was 4 sport letter athlete. He was a salesman with Warner-Lambert most of his life. After retirement he worked for Darlings Ford delivering cars. Web was a life member of the Elks Lodge #244. He loved golf and football and enjoyed watching sports from his living room.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Joyce (Nealley) Clark; sons, James Clark and wife Janice of Hampden, Robert Clark of Bangor, Daniel Clark of Bangor, Steven Clark and wife Gail of Mass.; step-sons, Jeffrey Getchell and Timothy Getchell both of Newburg; sisters, Sally Downing of Conn., Joan Goody of Orrington; a brother, Sonny Clark and wife Marcia of Brewer; eleven grandchildren with a special granddaughter, Chelsea Emery and husband Tyler; four great-grandchildren; and many friends, and his black lab companion, Molly. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a stepson, David Getchell.
Relatives and friends are welcome to call from 2-4 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2015, at the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith, 45 Western Avenue, Hampden. Interment will be in the spring.
