Irma's Story

MADAWASKA - Irma L. Russell, 79, passed away on April 4, 2015 at a Madawaska health care facility. She was born in Frenchville on February 22, 1936, daughter of the late George and Helen (Picard) Deschaine. She was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Madawaska. Irma is survived by her loving husband of fifty eight years, Real Russell of Madawaska; two daughters, Ann Marie Russell and her companion Rick Ouellette of Connor, Elaine Clavette and her husband Gene of Madawaska; four sons, Charles Russell and his wife Helene "Lee" of New York, David Russell and his wife Amy of Madawaska, Robert Russell and his wife Michelle of Madawaska, Philip Russell and his wife Linda of Madawaska; eleven grandchildren, Jason and his wife Amy of Florida, Rebecca of Madawaska, Joshua and his wife Melanie of South Carolina, Ryan of Connor, Matthew and his companion Meghan Guerrette of Frenchville, Travis and his fiancé Danika Caron of Kentucky, Scott of Madawaska, Jessica Russell of Madawaska Jesse and Haley Clavette of Fort Carson, CO, Dylan Clavette of Fort Hood, TX; three great-grandchildren, Axton, Addilyn, Gabriel; two sisters, Jeannine Michaud of Lisbon, Marie Gross and her husband Bernie of Florida; many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10am on April 10, 2015 at the St. Thomas Aquinas Church.
