STILLWATER AND MOSCOW - Hilda F. Woodard,86, died peacefully surrounded by family at her residence October 8, 2015. She was born August 2, 1929 in Moscow a daughter of John and Nettie (Messer) Pooler.
Hilda graduated from Bingham High School, class of 1947. She was employed for 6 years at the New England Telephone office in Bingham. In July 1957, she married Carlton Woodard of Guilford and for the next 6 years they resided in Guilford, briefly in Fitzwilliam, NH before moving to Stillwater where she has resided for the last 51 years. She was employed by the US Postal Service, retiring in 1989. She was a member of APWU, Order of Eastern Star, the Stillwater Federated Church, and the Annie Mathews Society. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and spending time at her cottage on Bottle Lake in Lakeville.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years Carlton; two children Louine Woodard of Stillwater and Lynn Woodard and his wife Gwen of Oakland; two grandchildren Yolana Martin and her husband Shawn of Brewer and Cameron Woodard and his companion Johanna Coulombe of Oakland; great grandson Remington Martin; special nephew Norman Pooler of Moscow.
She was predeceased by her parents; brother Joseph Pooler and sister Birdena Hutchins; and a special friend and cousin Faylene Corson.
