Text size

Belfast - Herman Linwood Reynolds, Jr. 70, of Belfast, Maine, died unexpectedly in Liberty on March 6th, 2017. "Junior", was the son of the late Herman L Reynolds Sr. and Lottie May Reynolds (Coffin). His devotion and love for God, his family and for his Country was everlasting. He was a very kind man and was quick to share a story of the good ol' days over a hot cup of coffee. Rarely would he turn down a home cooked meal. Most days you'd find him helping a friend or family member, and would even give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He had much love for all animals. He enjoyed working on cars and taking little adventures, traveling and driving in general. An "I love you" was always the last words you'd hear from him before he left.
He was born on July 27, 1946 in Belfast, Maine. He graduated from Crosby High School, in Belfast, Maine, in 1965. After high school he honorably served in the United States Army for 23 years as a Heavy Equipment Operator and Mechanic. He spent almost three years in Germany during the 1960's. After completing his active duty tour in 1969, he joined the Maine Army National Guard, attached to the 1136th Transportation Company until his retirement in 1998. He also worked for Lane's Construction for many years and was a member of the Teamsters Union.
He is predeceased by his parents, and his beloved dog Blue. He is survived by his sisters; Margene Reynolds Hicks of Bandy, VA, Lucille Reynolds Boober of Bangor, ME, and a brother; Douglas Frost, of Swanville, Maine. His children; Adam Reynolds, and wife Diane Reynolds (O'Donnell) of Searsport, Michael Reynolds of Belfast, Arianne Clark (Reynolds), and husband Logan of Belfast, and Kristin Partridge (Ireland) and husband Jason of Bangor. Grandchildren; Troy David (also MeARNG 1136th), Shane Michael, Cody Rain and Jesse James Reynolds of Searsport. Devindale Michael Reynolds and Levi Linwood Farrell of Belfast.
