Herbert Dwight Huntley Jr (Dwight), 72, of Fort Collins, Colorado passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 in Fort Collins, CO, surrounded by family.
He was born in Harrington, Maine August 8, 1943 to Herbert and Dorothy "Philis" Huntley. Dwight grew up in Harrington and it was there that he met his wife to be, Marilyn Annis, who spent summers in Harrington with her family. Dwight and Marilyn were married on May 29, 1964 and spent many wonderful years together, celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2014.
Dwight served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a carpenter most of his life and took great pride in the many projects that he worked on, including not only houses, but also the restoration of historic boats and custom carpentry work on historic buildings in St. Augustine, Florida.
Dwight is survived by his son Ryan Huntley, daughter-in-Law Jackie Rutter, father Herbert Huntley, and brother Larry Huntley.
He was a wonderful Dad, role model, and friend. We miss him very much but also find comfort in the thought that he is finally at peace and that he and Marilyn (Mum) are together again.
