Helen's Story

LINCOLN - Helen J. Crocker, 93, wife of the late Erland Crocker, died February 21, 2015, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. She was born September 24, 1921, in Bryan, Texas, the daughter of Pete and Albina (Holubec) Lero.

Helen enjoyed gardening and spending time at camp.

She is survived by two children, Debra Crocker, of Levant, and David Crocker, of Lee; two granddaughters, Kerri McFalls and her husband, Mike, and Kendra Gurcan and her husband, Zeki; four great-grandchildren, Braedon and Keegan McFalls and Arman and Devrim Gurcan; two siblings, Walter Lero, of Bryan, Texas and Annie Mae Regmund, of Woodland, Texas; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two siblings, Lottie Pentacoff and Pete Lero, Jr.

Friends may call from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, February 25 at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, where funeral services will be held immediately following at 1 p.m., with the Rev Myles Cyr officiating. Spring interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Lee. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Sarah's House. Donations may be left at the funeral home.
