Helen's Story

PRESQUE ISLE - Helen G. Chandler, 95, a beloved mother and grandmother passed away Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014 at her residence in Presque Isle. She was born June 20, 1919 in Mapleton, the daughter of Eldon and Hester (Sloat) Webber.

She and her husband, Raymond Chandler owned a potato farm for many years, and then spent 10 years in Florida.

Helen is survived by two daughters and their husbands; Anita and George Buie of Brewer, Debra and Stan Rediker of Old Town, four grandchildren; Karen Bunting and her husband, Tim of Brazil, Myron Buie, Angie and Heidi Rediker, seven great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond in 2000, a son, Roland, and a granddaughter, Cherilyn Buie in 2007.

A graveside service will be held in the month of May 2015 at Castle Hill Cemetery, Castle Hill. Online condolences may be shared at www.duncan-graves.com
