- Harvey R. Morrill Jr., 79, died peacefully in his St. Albans home June 30, 2017.
He was born September 30, 1938 to Harvey Sr. and Florence (Glennon) Morrill in Boston Massachusetts. He was educated in public schools including the Boston Latin School.
Harvey worked for many years as a machinist for the Boston Gear Works, a painter for the O.G. Kelley company, and as a mechanic at Frank Wheeler's garage.
Harvey proudly served his country as a citizen/soldier of the Massachusetts Army National Guard.
Upon moving to Maine, Harvey worked as a machinist for the Fay Scott company and later White Consolidated. He also worked in the forest products industry; painted, repaired, and sold automobiles until he was no longer able to work due to health complications.
Harvey enjoyed flying model airplanes, fishing, hunting and snowmobiling. In later years he liked to watch the Red Sox, and his love of old cars and trucks never dwindled.
Above all he enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and the rest of his family.
Harvey is survived by his loving wife of over 60 years, Alice (Braun) Morrill of St. Albans, his sister Ruth E. Rizzitano of East Bridgewater, Massachusetts, his four children Denise Clukey of Corinna, Laura Hall of Dover Foxcroft, Harvey Morrill III of St. Albans, and Susan Morrill of Cambridge and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren many nieces and nephews and several dear friends.
Harvey was predeceased by his mother and father Harvey Sr.and Florence (Glennon) Morrill, and a brother Thomas A. Morrill.
At Harvey's request there will be no services.
