LINCOLNVILLE - Lincolnville---- Harriet Ella Mahoney, 82, peacefully passed away, December 27, 2014, at Maine Medical Center in Portland due to a heart condition. She was born July 14, 1932 in Lincolnville, Maine to Lottie (Rumney) Knight and Edward Knight. Shortly thereafter, she moved to Berwick with her family where she grew up and attended schools. She moved back to Lincolnville in 1948 and married Sturgis Mahoney the following year. They had four children: Eddie, Dwight, Juli and Lottie. Harriet had a lust for life and her children always came first. For the last 45 years, she has lived with her partner Ronald McIntyre in Lincolnville

where they shared their home and enjoyed extended family. She loved going camping and more often than not many a friend would end up around their campfire. They traveled quite often visiting family and exploring the world. She enjoyed poetry and keeping a diary of her favorite things which included birds, trees and bushes, flower gardens and even Clarence, her favorite chipmunk. Outdoor life was a great joy for her except for the leaves and sticks that constantly fell upon her lawn every autumn. Harriet was predeceased by her brother John Knight, sister Peanut Moulton and her daughter Juli Ann. She is survived by her longtime companion of 50 years Ronald McIntyre, sisters Carolyn B. and Harvey Flint of Berwick and Marion Maddix of Berwick, brothers Charlie and Barbara Knight of Rockport,

Russell and Casey Knight of Laconia, New Hampshire, and brother-in-law Larry Moulton of Berwick. She is also survived by her son Ed Mahoney and his wife Cami of Kodiak, Alaska, Dwight Mahoney and his companion Debbie of

Lincolnville and daughter Lottie Wallace of Wilmington, North Carolina; stepson Scott McIntyre and his wife Susan of Hope and step-daughter Deborah McIntyre and Paul Leeper of Searsmont; grandchildren Aaron, Jason, Ryan, Zachary, Chris, Philip, Stephanie, Kelly and Brittany; four great-grandchildren Justin, Emily, Kaylee and little Ry Ry; and also her dog, Toby. She will be greatly missed. Condolences can be sent to: Ronald McIntyre, 105 Heal Rd., Lincolnville, Maine 04849. A celebration of life will be May 26, 2015.
