Harold's Story

EAGLE LAKE - Harold "Harry" Raymond of Eagle Lake Maine entered his forever home on July 30, 2015. Harold was born to the late Aurel and Effie Raymond on September 5, 1952., in Eagle Lake, ME.

Harold is survived by six brothers, Reynold and his wife Iris Raymond of Eagle Lake, Roger and his wife Rella Raymond of Herman, Patrick and his wife Cheryl of Portage, Roland Raymond of Dedham, and Gerald and his wife Sharon Raymond of Eagle Lake: and three sisters, MaryAnn and her husband Eric Scott of Caribou, Rachel and her husband Raymond Albert of Eagle Lake, and Lisa and her husband Eric Nosel of Glenburn; and his 19 nieces and nephews, Michelle, Lauri, Justin, Kathy, Michael, Richard, Neil, Nicholas, Adam, Mathew, Tyler, Micah, Karissa, Alex, Alexandra, Samuel, Elise, Joshua, and Jacob.

For the last 25 years of his life, Harold was in the care of Northern Maine General, whose staff not only provided a comfortable home and community experience for him, but also became his extended family.

Harold took joy in the simple things in life and people were drawn to his innocence and charming smile. He loved rocking in his favorite chair, to be outdoors as often as possible, spending time in the water, and eating sweets. Harold will be dearly missed by his family, friends and caregivers, who can take comfort in the fact that he is at peace with his mother and father.

Your donations to the fund will be greatly appreciated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday August 3, 2015 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, Me., Committal services will follow in the parish cemetery. Services are in the care of Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent.
