- On June 6, 2017, Grover White went home to be with his Lord after losing his battle with cancer. He was born December 9, 1938, in Houlton, Maine, to Miles and Bessie (Nightengale) White.
After graduating from Houlton High School in 1956, he attended New Brunswick Bible Institute, graduating in 1959. During the summer months of his attending NBBI he served in several area churches teaching vacation bible school, as well as working at Word of Life at Schroon Lake, New York, one summer. After graduating he pastored at Guilford Center Baptist Church in Guilford, Maine, as well as several other churches over the years. He worked at Guilford Woolen Mill and Pride Manufacturing as well as other area businesses.
He is survived by his wife Enid (Howes) White of 55 years and six children, Andrew and wife Laurie, Ruth and husband Jeff, Linda and husband David, Kay and husband George, Nancy and husband John, and Debbie and husband Jamie. He leaves behind 21 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, two brothers, and a sister.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday June 17, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Bible Church in Sangerville, ME.
