- Grace E. Moulton, 98, of Hallandale Beach, FL, passed away on July 26, 2017. She was born in Newport, ME, Sept. 1, 1918, the daughter of Irving C. Moulton and Hazel Bonney Moulton.
Grace grew up in Guilford, married in 1940, had two children, born in Dover-Foxcroft, then moved to Meriden, Ct. She moved to Hallandale Beach, FL in 1995, to be with her family. She was an accomplished artist and worked many years as assistant to nursing home director in West Hartford, CT.
Grace adored animals, rescued many and was always taking in strays. They would somehow know she would feed them and care for them. She was very charitable. She was extremely well read and a great conversationalist. There were no strangers to Grace. They always became her friends. Arms and heart open. In the end, all we have is the love we take with us and the love we leave behind. She took a lot of love with her and left a lot behind. She was unforgettable.
She was predeceased by her son, Rolfe H. Engert; brother, Irving C. Moulton, Jr. of MA; sister, Mary Bonney Manuel; sister-in-law, Eva Moulton; and nephew, Gordon R. Manuel of Greer, SC.
