Gloria's Story

MILLINOCKET - Gloria "Arline" Levasseur, 85, passed peacefully from this life Monday, January 11, 2016, the daughter of Rose (Levesque) and Robert Morneault.

Arline was a resident of Katahdin Healthcare in Millinocket, and we, the family, would like to thank everyone for the wonderful care that she was given during her stay.

In addition to her parents, Arline was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Raymond Levasseur, and her first husband Edward M. Cullen. She was also predeceased by her son Michael Cullen, her daughter, Lynn Beaumont, her 3 brothers, Edward, Robert, and Aime, as well as her parents. She is survived by Steven Cullen and his wife Mary Alice, of Millinocket, Jim Cullen and his wife, Kim, of Phippsburg, Tim Cullen of Millinocket, Nancy Cullen, and her husband, Dan Hackett, of Preston, Connecticut. "Mimi" loved her grandchildren, Nicholas and Craig Cullen; Brad and Kate Morgan; Garrett and Jordan Cullen; Ann Marie, and Aaron Beaumont, Lindsey (Beaumont) Hostetler, as well as her three great grandchildren. Arline also leaves behind her son-in-law David Beaumont as well as her beloved Uncle John, and Aunt Doris, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Arline lived most of her life in Millinocket, and was a member of the Katahdin Area Support Group. She was a long time communicant of St Martin of Tours, and enjoyed knitting hats, and pairs of mittens for the Harvest Tea.

She was a great cook who enjoyed feeding anyone who came to visit. She was always afraid she had nothing to offer, but would put out a spread to rival Thanksgiving.

Arline had a wonderful sense of humor, a great smile, and warm laugh. She took great pleasure in having all of her children, and grandchildren home for the holidays. She made sure there was a "favorite" pie or dessert for everyone.

Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2016 at St Martin of Tours Church with a celebration of her life luncheon immediately after, downstairs in the church hall.

Gifts in memory of Arline may be sent to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P.O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462. Messages of condolence may be expressed at
