LINCOLN AND KANSAS - Glennys Lillian (Thompson) Tilton, 100 years old, passed away Sept 15, 2014 in Lansing, Kansas. She was born July 20, 1914 in Chester, the daughter of Harry and Minnie (Brooks) Thompson.
She was married to James Tilton for 59 years and together they enjoyed farming. She worked at the local cleaners for 30 years and would come home from work and feed the men that helped Jim on the farm. She also separated the milk and made butter. She lived with her nephew Barry and Sue Thompson in Kansas for the past four years.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Reta Tilton Veazie and two brothers, Freeman and Delton Thompson. She leaves behind a sister-in-law, Grace Thompson Stockley of Island Falls and a brother-in-law, Vaughn Tilton of Enfield; several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 at Lincoln Cemetery, with the Rev. Michael Robinson officiating. Those who wish may sign an online register and leave written condolences at www.clayfuneralhome.com.
