- Glennice P. Frey, 81, died peacefully March 14, 2017, at a Bangor healthcare facility with her loving daughter by her side. She was born June 13, 1935, in Old Town, a daughter of Percival and Eva (Bowley) Cox.
Glennice always put her family first and always took care of others before focusing on her needs. She always had a positive outlook, regardless of the situation. She was an active member of the Women's Auxiliary of the VFW, and enjoyed going to the Treat Falls House to visit with the residents. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, her flower gardens, reading, and spending time in her home. She enjoyed music, dancing, and singing and during her time at the Woodlands she enjoyed dancing to the enjoyment of the other residents and staff. "Glennice Pearl the Action Girl" was loved by all who encountered her at The Woodlands and Ross Manor and she always had a smile to greet them.
She is survived by four children Paul Frey, Rodney Frey and his wife Kelley, Elaine St. Louis and her husband Aaron, Diane King and her husband Tim; 10 grandchildren; three great granddaughters Jordyn, Elliana, and Addy; two brothers Dana Cox and his wife Louise, and Donald Cox; two sisters Laura White and Eloise Simard and her husband Robert; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Paul in 2012, and three brothers Howard, Merle, and Hollis Cox.
Friends may gather 2-4 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town. Spring interment will be at Cedarvale Cemetery, Argyle.
