ADDISON - Gertrude (Jerrie) Cleaves, 79, wife of the late William Cleaves Sr., passed away on January 3, 2015. She spent her working years at Narraguagus Nursing Home and Stinson's Seafood. She had a passion for playing bingo, cooking, sewing and gardening.
She will be greatly missed by her 10 children, Carmen Snyder of Michigan, Jackie Newenham of Addison, Ramona Giger of Florida, Pamela Giger of Lisbon, Donna Stanwood and husband Victor of Milbridge, Tina Giger and Jeff Feely of Lisbon, Kenny Giger of Cherryfield, Raymond Giger and significant other Diana Dowland of Bar Harbor, Erika Schoppee and significant other Mark Schoppee of Cherryfield, William Cleaves Jr. and wife Elaine of Columbia Falls, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren that she absolutely adored.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, her brother, mother-in-law Margaret Theriault, son-in-law Bill Snyder, and her grandchildren, Billy Snyder, Barbie Snyder and Brandon Giger.
A celebration of life will be held at the Addison Town Hall on January 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm. A private internment will be held in the spring.
