Germaine's Story

NEWBURGH - Germaine G. Beaulieu, 76, died Sunday, January 24, 2016, at a Bangor hospital. She was born December 5, 1939, in Grand Isle, the daughter of Lawrence and Celina (Dumond) Levesque.

Gerry was a very independent lady who could take very good care of herself. She enjoyed camping as long as she was able to do it. She was passionate about horticulture. She had the greenest of thumbs. She liked her birds, and loved going to the flower shows in Boston. She liked to travel, taking advantage of senior citizen trips whenever she could. Although she was self-sufficient, she really enjoyed being with people.

In addition to her parents, Gerry was predeceased by her son, Joseph Roderick Beaulieu, Jr., and a brother, Gerard Levesque. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Beaulieu and partner Eric; grandson Adam Leeman; two brothers, Eugene Levesque and wife Janice, and Patrick Levesque and wife Eva; one nephew, Michael Levesque; and two very special friends, Jan and Lorraine.

Services will be private for the family. Those who wish to remember Gerry in a special way may make gifts in her memory to the Bangor Humane Society, 693 Mt. Hope Avenue, Bangor, ME 04401. A service of the Hampden-Gilpatrick Chapel of Brookings-Smith.
