BANGOR - Geraldine R. Laliberte, 87, wife of the late Creighton Laliberte, died Jan. 27, 2015 at a Bangor health care center. She was born June 28, 1927 in Lincoln, the daughter of Granville and Mildred Cox.
Geraldine attended Lincoln schools and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Ellsworth. She enjoyed reading and gardening.
Surviving are two children, Edward Laliberte and his wife, Diane of Alton and David Neal and his wife, Sandi of Leesburg, FL; six grandchildren, Michael Laliberte, Melinda Waterman, David Neal, Suzanne Pitts, Paul Laliberte and Holly Woodsworth; 11 great grandchildren; two brothers, George "Buster" Cox of New York and James Cox of California; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Charles Laliberte and James Laliberte; one brother, John Cox; one sister, Helen Carr.
Family and friends may visit 1 -2 PM Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring her life will be held at 2 PM as the visitation concludes. Burial will be in the spring in Alton. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to a local library as a tribute to her love of reading.
