- Gerald Joseph 'Buddy' Damboise, 85, passed away peacefully, April 24, 2017, at his home in Milford. Buddy was born in Old Town, October 22, 1931, to William Joseph, Sr. and Gladys (Wright) Damboise.
Buddy retired from Old Town Housing Authority. He was also self-employed and worked various jobs. Buddy was a lifetime member of the Old Town Elks Club, BPOE 1287. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting and spending valued time with family and friends at his hunting camps.
In addition to his parents, Buddy was predeceased by his son, Tony; brother, Dickie; sister, Theresa White; and his sisters in law, Penny and Gretchen. He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara; son, Steve and wife, Lisa; daughter, Susan; and grandpuppies, Bella, Bootz and Jake. Buddy also leaves behind his sisters, Mary Rustin, Barbara Desjardins; brothers, Bill Damboise and wife, Deana, Roy Damboise, Shorty Damboise; and his sister in law, Dell Damboise; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Services with presentation by the Elks Lodge will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, May 1, 2017, at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, with Pastor Ron Chaffee officiating. Family and friends are invited to share in refreshments at the family home in Milford following the service.
