SANGERVILLE - Gerald "Jay" Clukey, 90, died January 9, 2015, at the Maine Veteran's Home in Bangor. He was born May 15, 1924 in Dexter, a son of Thomas and Mildred (Ganeau) Clukey.
He was a World War II Army Veteran, honorably discharged in 1946.
He was predeceased by his wife of 41 years, Evelyn (Simmons) Clukey; 2 children, Scott and Lynn Marie; his second partner in life, Joanne Johndro; brothers, Roland, Vincent, Raymond, Eugene, and David; sisters, Evangeline, Sylvia, Regina, Shirley, Barbara, and Veronica.
He is survived by his daughters, Satin Bartle and her husband Bill, Rhonda Taylor and her husband Marty; 2 grandchildren, Rochelle Blark and Corina Tibbetts; 5 great grandchildren, JT, Kailee, Karson, Brooklyn, and Ryatt; a brother, Carroll Clukey; sisters, Gloria Cross, and Dorilda Worster; and the extended family of Joanne Johndro.
Graveside services with military honors will be held in the spring at the Lawn Cemetery in Guilford. Contributions in Gerald's memory may be sent to Pine Tree Hospice, Caregivers Fund, 883 West Main St., Dover-Foxcroft, ME 04426.
