EAST MILLINOCKET AND LINCOLN - Geneva E. Michaud, 83, wife of the late Patrick Michaud, passed away April 15, 2015, at a Lincoln hospital. She was born May 17, 1931, in Lincoln, daughter of Melvin and Sarah (Powers) Thompson.
Geneva enjoyed crocheting the American flag and did so for all of her family members. She enjoyed being around her family and enjoyed going to church and reading her Bible. She also enjoyed participating in all the activities at Colonial Acres. She had an infectious smile and sense of humor.
She is survived by six children, Brian Hale, Harland Hale, Belinda Gleason and her husband, Frank, Loren Hale and his wife, Joyce, Christine Merritt and Cheryl Nelson; three stepchildren, Gary Viel and his wife, Kathy, Eddie Michaud and Ricky Michaud; three brothers, Alton, Arnold and Joseph Thompson; five sisters, Dorothy Doane, Robena Dugans, Evelyn Wright, Joann Hunt and Gloria Anderson; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves a very good friend, Judy Parker. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, six brothers, a stepson and two sons-in-law.
Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m.Saturday at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Bruce Michaud officiating. Interment will be in Grindstone Road Cemetery, Medway, at a later date. Donations in her memory may be made to LifeFlight of Maine.
