Frederick's Story

MEDFORD - Frederick C. Bradeen, of Medford, 92 went to rest in the peace that Jesus made on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at the Maine Veterans' Home. He was born Nov. 11 1921, the son of the late Samuel Warren and Theresa

(McColl) Bradeen. Fred was a 1941 graduate of Milo High School and attended the University of Maine at Orono.Fred was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps and served in Europe during World War War II.He returned to Milo to pursue his first love farming.Fred worked for for two farms for many years the Ricker and Brockway Farms.He worked for M.C.Horne & Sons as an Burner Repairman,Licensed in Heating

and Electrical.He also worked in plumbing,heating and electrical with expertise.Fred retired at the age of 76 years of age from the State of Maine Charleston Correctional Facility,working in the maintenance department. Fred is survived by his cherished children Barbara Mae and son-in-law, Gary R. West, of Storrs, Conn., Sam W. and daughter-in-law, Kelly Bradeen of Medford and Carol Jean and son-in-law Kenneth Hudak, of Medford; grandchildren Brittany Regina West, Ricky Lee Bradeen, and Katharina Maria West, sisters Evelyn Page of Milo and Carolyn Peacock of Tucson, Ariz.; a multitude of nieces and nephews and many loving friends. Fred was predeceased by his beloved wife of 57 years Barbara Dammes Bradeen in 2011, his sister Regina Gertrude Livers, his brothers Joseph S. Bradeen, Carl A. Bradeen and Infant Paul Bradeen. A memorial to Frederick is planned for October 25, 2014 at the Milo Baptist Church at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers,donatios may be made to the Dover-Foxcroft Church of the Nazarene,P.O.
