LAGRANGE, MAINE - Franklin Miles Lyford, Jr., 83, went to be with his Lord and Saviour March 23, 2016, at Togus Springs. He was born Sept. 7, 1932 in Milo, the son of Franklin Sr. and Ruth (Herbest) Lyford.
A Veteran of The Korean War, he later worked as a truck driver and heavy equipment operator. He was a member of the VFW of Milo.
Surviving are his son, Thomas and wife Cindy Lyford of Glenburn; daughter, Margie and husband Wayne Turner of Leesburg, Florida; and step-daughter, Donna Lyford of Veazie; 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Linda Thompson, Brenda Lyford, and Gertrude Hunt; and brother, Newell Lyford.
He was predeceased by wife, Janice and infant daughter; wife, Eleanor (Rogers); brother, Robert; sister, Elba Cottrell; step-son/daughter, John Marsh and Katherine Bell.
Family and friends are invited to attend a service on April 2 at 11am at the Milo Pentecostal Church, 910 Kennedy Lane.
