- Frances E. Trojano, 88, wife of the late William F. Trojano, Sr., died May 30, 2017 at her home surrounded with her family. Frances was born Aug. 14, 1928 in Orono, the daughter of Ernest J. and Olive (Jedderie) Burton. She was a graduate of Orono Catholic High School, was a resident of Brewer since 1951 and she was a longtime communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, Brewer. Frances worked for many years at the Brewer IGA in various departments. She was a longtime active member with the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Post #4917, Brewer during which time she served as President for two years. She also served as President of the VFW District #4 from 1977-1978 and received the All State District President Award of the Year.
The matriarch of her five generations of family, Frances loved her family and she was loved by all. Surviving are her three children, Linda Foss of Glenburn, William Trojano, Jr and his wife, Cheryl of Glenburn and Henry Trojano and his wife, Wendy of Levant; several nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband in 1999, by her son, Rodney Trojano in 2012 and by her brother and two sisters. She will be remembered by her dear friend and neighbor, Sayla.
A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2017 at Woodlawn Cemetery, 600 No. Main St., Brewer. Arrangements are trusted to Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer and messages and memories may be shared with her family at kileyandfoley.com.
