- Frances D. Baillargeon, 95, died March 30, 2017. She was born in Bradley, Dec. 29, 1921, the daughter of Louis and Aurelia (Beaulieu) Guay.
She graduated from Old Town High School, Class of 1939, and was a communicant of St. Ann's Catholic Church of Bradley. She was employed as a secretary and bookkeeper for R. J. MacGregor of Bangor and in later years worked at the Old Town Public Library. Frances lived her entire life in the Old Town area and especially enjoyed her 62 summers on Pushaw Lake.
She married Adrian Baillargeon in 1943 and they have five children: Clement and his wife Linda, Irene Beane, Janice Paul and her husband Allen, Mary Bradstreet and her husband Stephen, and Russell and his wife Gail. Frances was Memere to eleven grandchildren, Melanie, Monique, Allison, Monica, Sarah, David, Amanda, Evan, Adam and Molly and Grande-Memere to fourteen great grand children. She was predeceased by her husband Adrian, a brother Clement Guay, a sister Yvonne McKeil, and a grandson Aric Beane.
One of the things that made Frances very happy was being able to spend her summers at Pushaw Lake, a place she went to for 62 years!! She would proudly announce that fact on a regular basis to family, friends, and strangers alike! Being there brought her a kind of peace that she felt nowhere else!
Funeral services will be held at a later date at St. Ann's Church in Bradley followed by an interment at St. Joseph's cemetery, Old Town. There will be no visiting hours.
