Francena's Story

GLENBURN - Francena Wilma Philbrick, 90, the wife of the late Harold P. Philbrick, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at a Bangor hospital. She was born in Andover, N.B., Canada, June 26, 1925, the daughter of Ernest and Bridgette (O'Connor) Morrell.

She had been employed as a cashier at Fernald's Market in Corinna and later worked at M.S.A.D. # 64 in food Service.

She is survived by two daughters, Sheila and her husband Bob Phelps of Oklahoma and Carla Proctor of Pittsfield; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; a daughter-in-law, Mona-Jean Philbrick; a son-in-law, Dean Grant and a sister in-law, Gail Wilson. She will be missed by all her special friends at Sunny Gable's, especially George and Adine Frost and Ethelyn Ellis. Francena was predeceased by a daughter, Greta Grant and a son, Ernest Philbrick; her step father, Melvin Wilson; two brothers, Sterling "Beaver" Wilson, Melvin Wilson; and a sister, Alice Mills.

Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth, Wednesday, June 1, 2016 from 1 PM until time of services at 2 PM. with Skyler Burrill and Dalton Dunfee officiating. Burial will be in the Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth.
