BREWER - Florence "Terry" Archer

Brewer - Florence "Terry" Archer, 93, wife of the late Wesley C. Archer, died Sept 18, 2014 at an Orono health care center. She was born Feb. 4, 1921 in Toledo, Ohio, the daughter of Michael and Agnes (Surowiec) Ichrist.

Terry, as she was known, was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker and she and Wesley were married for 60 years. She was a long standing member of MPM, the Monday Afternoon Book Club of Brewer and served as its president.

She is survived by her son, Timothy A. Archer and his wife, Carol Jo (Reed) Archer of Brewer; two grandsons, Jonathan and his wife Jessie of Portland and Justin and his wife, Christine of Brewer; two great grandchildren, Jackson and Henry; two special sisters-in-law and several caring and thoughtful nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband, Terry was predeceased by four sisters, Helene Danklef, Dorothy Stewart, Louise Melnick and Ann Fuire and by one brother, John Ichrist.

Terry and her family gratefully thank all the staff at Orono Commons for making her stay at their facility an enjoyable experience and for the extraordinary care she received.
