Felix's Story

EASTON - Felix P. Jandreau, 81, passed away on March 1, 2016, at a local health care facility. He was born July 14, 1934, in St. Francis. He was the son of Delsey and Alvin (Morin) Jandreau.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Presque Isle, and also a member of the Knights of Columbus, a 4th degree knight. At 18 he joined the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Illinois. After being honorably discharged, he married Eileen Harvey of St. Francis, May 3, 1958. He worked as a carpenter for many of the counties construction companies. He was known for his "Mr. Fix-it" abilities and helping many a friend and neighbor.  He also was known for his love of dancing and his shameless flirting. He was a permanent fixture at the local Easton store drinking coffee and gabbing with all of his friends. His heart will forever belong to the St. John River, the Allagash Woods and the peace that can be found there.

He was predeceased by his parents; one daughter, Alvin-Ann; his sister, Louise (Jandreau) Morris; and his brothers, Joseph of St. Francis, Grover of North Carolina and Claude of Connecticut. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 5, with Father Anthony Alexander Maria Doss officiating, at the chapel of the Faye Funeral Home, Presque Isle, with calling hours held 9-11 a.m. Committal services will follow at a later date at Northern Maine Veterans Cemetery, Caribou. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in his honor to a charity of ones choice.
