Enfield - Faye Marie Porter Wakefield passed away on Feb. 5th, 2017, at the age of 81. Faye was predeceased by her parents George and Florence Sibley Porter; two brothers, Oakley and Hugh "Mose" Porter; five sisters, Elizabeth Boober, Daphine Shirley and Eldee Hadlock, Azuba Palmer, Jacqueline Palmer; a half-sister, Pauline Williams; and a grandson Nicholas Fogg.
Faye is lovingly remembered by sister in law, Barbara Porter; children, Ralph and Lisa Wakefield, Doug and Linda Wakefield, Frank and Kelly Wakefield, Florence and James Dudley, Tim and Sheila Wakefield, and Julie and Mike Brown; along with seven grandchildren, Amanda, Dustin, Lindsay, Marshall, Mallory, Rebekah, and Tyler; and six great grandchildren Kadence, Urijah, Flynn, Nathan, Grace, and Faith; many special nieces and nephews.
Faye was born in Lowell, ME, on January 12, 1936. "Mimi" loved her family dearly and was an exemplary cook; loved playing the piano and singing; and visiting with her wonderful friends in Enfield. She was a member of the Ammadamast Grange, served her community in many capacities through Enfield Elders as well as volunteering at countless benefit suppers over the years, and especially enjoyed her Tuesday Bridge Club.
Friends may visit with her family at 10 a.m., Thursday, February 9, 2017, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, where a memorial service will be held at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Keith Shorey officiating. Interment will be held in the spring. A gathering will be held at Ammadamast Grange, Enfield following the service.
