Fay's Story

EAST MILLINOCKET - Fay Arthur "Pete" Lyons, 70, husband of Bonnie (Manter) Lyons, passed away April 19, 2015, at his home. He was born Sept. 28, 1944, in Medway, the son of Fay Everett and Florence(Clukey) Lyons.

Pete served several years with the Army National Guard and retired from the Great Northern Paper Company where he was employed for many years. Pete and Bonnie enjoyed many years at Nesowadnehunk Lake camping and fishing. He attended Calvary Temple-Assembly of God church. Pete was known as a trustworthy and honest man and he loved his family dearly, and was a special Pupa.

In addition to his wife, Bonnie, of 49 years, he is survived by two children, Karen Majkowski and her husband, Mark, and Matthew Lyons and his wife, Roxann; four grandchildren, Alisha, Brianna, Lacey and Matty; three great-grandchildren, Chase, Hayden and RaeLynn; a brother, Prince Lyons and his wife, Sue; two brothers-in-law, John and his wife, Vicki Stanley, and Bill Stanley; several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by five siblings, Roy, Donald, Paul, and Malcolm Lyons and Jean Moore.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Calvary Temple-Assembly of God, 2 Orchard Street, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m., with the Rev. Regginal Adams officiating. Interment will be in East Millinocket Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to Calvary Temple building fund.
