BANGOR - Evelyn A. Mishou, passed away peacefully March 8, 2014, after an extended illness. She was born Jan. 12, 1927, in Old Town, the daughter of Harry and Alma Mishou.
The family moved to Verona Island and Evelyn graduated from Bucksport high School as valedictorian. After World War II, she married Edward Lanpher and mover to Orland. She had three children with Edward who passed away in 1960. She then married Lawrence Miller, moved to Searsport and had three more children. A great love in her life was music as she played the piano and guitar and loved to dance and sing. When Evelyn retired in 1989, she was able to enjoy many years spending time with family and friends. She was loved by all and we will miss her greatly.
Surviving are her six children and their spouses, Warren and Sharon, Rainy and Victor, Charles and Joan, Linda and George, James, Kelly, and Bill; her grandchildren, Heather, Blaine, Megan, Chelsea, Devon, Cameron, Kayla, Lindsay, Rachael and Janessa; great-grandchildren, Bryan, Ashley, Evan, and Rhiannon; her siblings, Harriet, Nathan, and Donna; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Charles.
