LUBEC - Eugene Dyer Greenlaw, 65, of Lubec, passed away unexpectedly February 1, 2015. Eugene was born February 6, 1949, the son of Arlene and Douglas Greenlaw.
After graduating from Lubec High School, he joined the United States Navy. He returned home in 1971 to marry his high school sweetheart of 43 years, Lynette Marie (Ramsdell) Greenlaw. Eugene worked at Peacock Canning Company for 31 years. He later started his own business Bayside Chocolates with his wife, where he enjoyed spending time with his customers. Eugene also could be found on the water Lobster fishing. He was a kind hearted man. It always put a smile on his face to spend time with friends and family.
Eugene is predeceased by his parents and brother, Gary Greenlaw. He is survived by two sons, Corey Greenlaw and his fiancé, Elizabeth Gundry and daughter, Paige of Lubec and Mark Greenlaw and wife, Katie and their children, Jade, Alyssa, Ryan and Rob of Lubec; a brother, Brian and wife, Nancy of VA; three sisters, Cathy Cook and husband, Noel of Campobello, Brenda Burns of Lubec and Cindy Newman and husband, Jim of Campobello.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, February 7th at Bayside Chocolates in Lubec from 1-3 p.m.
