HUDSON - Ethel J. Storman, 97, peacefully joined her husband, Eugene, in the hands of God, August 7, 2016, at an Orono health care facility with her family by her side. She was born June 2, 1919, in Argyle, a daughter of Ernest D. and Ethel (Ballard) Kennedy.
Throughout her life, Ethel served God with joy and comfort and was ready to meet her Saviour at the end of her journey. One of her many joys in life, along with her husband, was inviting people to attend worship services.
She is survived by four sons, Herbert Stroman and his wife, Myrtle, Raymond Storman and his wife, Marilyn, Ronald Storman and his wife, Barbara, and Larry Storman and his wife, Devon; 12 grandchildren, Stephen Storman, Terri Washington, Jeffrey Storman, Brad Storman, Lisa Storman, Brian Storman, Donna Thayer, Crista Benson, Randy Speed, Jeanne Speed Orcutt, Kirk Storman, and Jennifer Neptune; 22 great-grandchildren, 19 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Dorothy McLaughlin; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Storman, in 1984; daughter, Norma Speed; 7 brothers, Harrison, Ernest Jr., James, Thomas, Aaron, John, and Sterling Kennedy; and four sisters, Liona Speed, Pearl Young, Virginia Kennedy, and Eunice Coughlin.
A time of celebration and refreshments to honor the life of Ethel will be held 5-7pm Thursday at the Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main S., Old Town, where funeral services will begin at 10AM Friday, with Pastor Ed Costain, officiating. Burial will follow at Pushaw Cemetery, Hudson.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Meadows in Old Town for providing her a wonderful home and to Orono Commons and Beacon hospice for their extraordinary care during her last days.
