Ervins's Story

AUBURN - Ervins A. (Deeda) Bubier, 69, of Jay, Maine, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the Hospice House on Monday, December 22, 2014. Born to the late Charles Bubier and Zelma (Lakin) Bubier on February 4, 1945, Ervins was raised in Wilton, Maine and attended Wilton schools. Throughout the years he was a "jack of all trades", from farm work, carpentry, and mechanics to hunting, fishing and being the life of every gathering. In 1972, Ervins married Donna Lozier. In 1973 they adopted a son, Thomas Bubier and had the privilege of having a daughter in 1978 and a son in 1980. Ervins raised his children in Perry, Maine, where he created many memories until he moved back to live in Jay with his niece Tammy in 2012. Ervins spent the last 6 months of his declining health, living life to the fullest. He enjoyed sitting at the lake watching the water, shopping at WalMart, enjoying the sunshine on the porch, visiting camp, and of course he couldn't miss the Farmington Fair and his clam basket. He was the most loving, gentle, teddy bear if you could catch him out of his sarcasm. Ervins A. Bubier is survived by his sons; Thomas D. Bubier of Perry, Maine, Ervins A. Bubier II and companion Amanda Boyd of Perry, Maine, daughter; Janice Ritchie and husband Brian of Perry, Maine, grandchildren, Thomas D. Bubier Jr of Perry, Maine, Ervins A. Bubier III of Perry, Maine; brothers; Ernest Bubier of Dunkinsville, Pennsylvania, and Terry Bubier of Livermore Falls, Maine, niece and caregiver Tammy Welch and her husband Shawn of Jay, Maine, many other nieces, nephews, cousins and a very special great great niece Shawna Burnell of Jay, Maine. Special friend, Thomas D. McLeary of Wilton; Scotty McNickle of Perry; Harvey Mohalland of Woodland; Richard Curtis of Pembrook; and his favorite P.S.S. Mindy Child of Jay. He was predeceased by his mother and father, a sister Charlotte Robinson, and brother Guy Bubier. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Hospice House Androscoggin as well as Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for the continued care and support through this difficult time.
