HARMONY - Emma Kathleen Watson, went to be with her Savior June 19, 2014 in Dover-Foxcroft. She died peacefully with her daughter and son in law by her side. She was born December 6, 1928 in Harmony, a daughter of George and May (Gilman) Chadbourne.
Emma graduated from Harmony High School, Class of 1946 and married her husband of 56 years, Kenneth Watson. She lived in Harmony for most of her life. She was a homemaker and employed at the shoe shop in Harmony. She then worked at Delong's Sportswear until she retired. She had many fond memories of her years at Delong's and the people she worked with there. Emma loved to garden, pick berries and was very proud of her canned goods, especially dill pickles and strawberry jam. She was an active member for many years at the Harmony First Baptist Church as a Sunday school teacher, a trustee, various other offices and numerous committees. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her daughter and husband, Kathleen (Watson) and John Gilbert of St. Albans; grand daughter and husband, Jessica and Brian Raimy of Yarmouth; grandson and wife Joshua (Snowden) and Danielle (Torre) Baci of Baltimore, MD; great grand daughters, Amelia Baci and Violet Raimy; siblings, Clyde and wife Rosemarie Chadbourne, of Cambridge, Lenora Watson and husband Richard of Harmony, and Cecil Chadbourne and wife Meredith of Harmony; sisters in law, Victoria Viles of Skowhegan and Hazel Chadbourne of Harmony; many special nieces, nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Kenneth, and siblings Ray, George, Jr., Clayton and Norris Chadbourne, Effie Gourley, Doris Blanchard and Colleen Wilbur.
During the final months of life she resided at Hibbard Nursing Home in Dover-Foxcroft. Her family would like to thank the staff for their excellent care.
Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday, June 28th, at the Harmony First Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Thibodaux officiating. Burial will be in the family lot, Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Cambridge. Arrangements are by Crosby & Neal, Newport. Memorial donations may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church, P. O. Box 5, Harmony, ME 04942.
