- Elizabeth J. Stickney, 90, of Ligonier, PA, formerly of Stamford, CT, died Thursday, April 6, 2017, in Brookdale Senior Living, Latrobe.
She was born December 11, 1926, in Evanston, IL, daughter of the late McClure Johnson and Helena Chase Johnson Drea.
Elizabeth had been employed as a preschool teacher. She was a member of the Covenant Presbyterian Church, the Audubon Society, and the Stamford Nature Museum.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Wendell H. Stickney in 2005, a son, Kimball Stickney in 1990, two sisters and one brother.
Elizabeth is survived by two children, April (Jamie) Cintron of Ligonier and Bristol L. Stickney of Teseque, NM, four granddaughters, Opal Heese, Raven Cintron, Bianca Root, and Ryan Stickney, and a sister, Priscilla Paetsch.
A service to celebrate Elizabeth's life will be held at the Covenant Presbyterian Church at a time and date to be announced.
