Elizabeth's Story

LINCOLN AND EAST MILLINOCKET - Elizabeth "Betty" O'Neill, daughter of the late Earl Dicker and Lavina Dicker, passed away with her family by her side, at Penobscot Valley Hospital, Lincoln, ME. on June 22nd, 2016 at the age of 85. Betty was born in Carroll, ME on April 11, 1931 one of eight "Dicker"girls.

Betty is predeceased by her husband George O'Neill, Jr., daughter Donna Michaud, sisters Hannah Curtis, Earlene Perry, and Patricia Ludden, brothers-in-law Jim Hawkins, Roger Stevens, Roy Carr and Calvin Curtis, and step-mother Nora Dicker.

Betty is survived and loved by daughters, Barbara Tierney of Concord, CA, Pam Blaisdell and husband Ray of NH, Cheryl Cook and husband Ernie of NH, Lisa Gagnon and husband Dan of Lincoln, ME, Mary-Ellen Thompson and husband Norman of East Millinocket, ME, Nancy O'Neill and Jon Saucier of Jefferson, ME; special son-in-law, Jim Michaud Jr. of Medway, ME. Betty also had 2 step children, Colleen Shroyer and husband Blaine of Delaware, Greg O'Neill and wife Patsy of Massachusetts.

Betty also leaves behind four sisters, Isabel Hawkins, Dora Carr, Carolyn Neal and husband Dalton, Mary Shorey and husband Doug, step-sister, Betty Gordon; brothers-in-law Harley Perry and Doug Ludden, all of Lincoln, ME; and special cousins Dottie Albert and Roberta Murray.

Betty "Nana" was a grandmother to 13 children, 15 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered as Aunt Lib to several nieces and nephews. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016, at Clay Funeral Home, 7 Road, Lincoln, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. that same day, with the Rev. William Chesley and Roger Stevens officiating. Interment will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
