Celebration of Life for Elizabeth 'Betty' (Weston) MacDonald of Bangor will be held at 2 pm Saturday, January 7, 2017 at Columbia Street Baptist Church, Bangor, ME. Reception following the service at the church.
Elizabeth "Betty" passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2016 at South Portland Nursing Home. Betty was born May 3, 1932 in Bangor, ME the daughter of George and Agnes Weston. She was one of ten children, a 1950 graduate from John Bapst HS, worked at W.T. Grants and attended St. Mary's Church. She devoted her life to caring for her daughter Carrie. She enjoyed cooking for her family. She was a brilliant antique enthusiast for 40+ years. She would give the coat off her back to help others. She was part of the Salvation Army community for many years which brought her delight.
She is survived by her six children; Bruce MacDonald, Franklin, Cindy & husband Charlie Tuck, Brewer, Carrie MacDonald, Hampden, Scott MacDonald, Brewer, Lynn MacDonald, Gorham, Craig MacDonald, Holden. 2 grandchildren and spouses; Alex (Gillian) Tuck, Carolynn (Stephen) Hamilton; 2 great grandchildren Zander and Patrick. Loving 2 sisters; Teresa Phillips, CA and Judy Ambrose, MA; and many caring and kind nieces and nephews. The family gives everyone who cared for Queen Elizabeth "Betty" their deepest and forever gratitude. Betty says so long to her beloved, best friend of 75+ years Marie Blake.
She was predeceased by her brothers & sisters; Geraldine, Mae, William, Calvin, James and Janice.
