- Elizabeth Ann (White) Hotham died peacefully Jan. 28, 2017, at home in Old Town, ME.
She was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Beulah White; her sister, Shirley Libby; and her daughter, Katherine Labrecque. Betty is survived by her husband of 68 years, Charles E. Hotham; her uncle, Claire Shirley; her sisters, Nancy Wardwell Leavitt and Cynthia Davis and her husband, John; her children, Daniel Hotham and Debbie, Amy Hotham, Hope Parker and Lise, and Eric Hotham; her 14 grandchildren, Keith, Jessica S., JJ, Kelly, Lauren, Christopher, Nicholas, Ryan, Eliza, Joshua, Garrett, Dylan, Jessica H. and Anthony; her 23 great-grandchildren, Devan, Kassie, Livannah, Sydney C., Sierra, Magnolia, Sydney S., Thomas, Delaney, Koleman, Kaydence, Joel, Noah, Ariannah, Gavin, Zachary, Avah, Emily, Sullivan, Aaliyah, Ana, Gia and Seth; her 3 great-great-grandchildren, Kaylie, Kendall and Oliver; many nieces and nephews; and special friends of the family, Karen and Mike Clarke.
She attended Old Town schools and worked in retail most of her life. Betty, and her husband, Charlie, at one time owned their own clothing store in Livermore Falls. After retirement she worked as a Senior Companion. Betty loved being with her family and friends, playing cards and other games. She was always known for her humor and witticisms. Betty was kind and generous to all those she knew.
