Elizabeth's Story

VENICE, Fla. - Elizabeth Warren Hewett, 84, wife of Wallace Hewett, died March 10, 2014, in Florida. She was born Dec. 2, 1929, in Dover-Foxcroft, the daughter of Stanley and Avilda Warren.

She was a graduate of Foxcroft Academy and the Modern School of Fashion and Design in Boston. She moved to Venice, Fla., in 1992, from Dayton, Ohio, where she was a member of the Venice United Church of Christ.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Wallace, of Venice, Fla.; a son, Mark E. of Plaistow, N.H.; two daughters, Sharman Cohen of Londonderry, N.H., and Lisa H. Bush of Beavercreek, Ohio; a sister, Patricia Skiffington of Olympia, Wash.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

A graveside committal service will be conducted 1 p.m. June 22, in the family lot at Dover Cemetery, Dover-Foxcroft, with the Rev. Chad Poland officiating. Local arrangements are in the care of Lary Funeral Home, Dover-Foxcroft. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
