Effie's Story

EAGLE LAKE - Effie "EF" Raymond of Eagle Lake ME entered into her heavenly home on, November 24, 2014. Effie was born to the late Sophie (Michaud) and David Belanger on January 19, 1930 in Wallagrass, ME.

She was the wife of the late Aurel Raymond. She had a passion for baking which led to working as a cook at Camps of Acadia and the Eagle Lake Elementary School. She was known for her ployes and desserts. She was an active parishioner of St. Mary's in Eagle Lake and a member of the Ladies of St. Anne. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker and very close to her family.

She loved her family and is survived by three daughters, MaryAnn and her husband Eric Scott of Caribou, Rachel and her husband Raymond Albert of Eagle Lake, and Lisa and her husband Eric Nosel of Glenburn; and six sons, Reynold and his wife Iris Raymond of Eagle Lake, Roger and his wife Rella Raymond of Herman, Harold Raymond, Patrick and his wife Cheryl of Portage, Roland Raymond of Dedham, and Gerald and his wife Sharon Raymond of Eagle Lake; her 19 grandchildren, Michelle, Lauri,Justin, Kathy, Michael, Richard, Neal Nicholas, Adam, Mathew, Tylor, Micah, Carissa, Alex, Alexandra, Samuel, Elise, Joshua, and Jacob; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son Camille Raymond and her four sisters and six brothers. Effie is dearly missed by her family and loved ones who celebrate the fact that she is at peace with her creator. The family gratefully accepts continued prayers and masses offered in Effie's name.

Your donations to the Fund will be greatly appreciated. Friends may call 9-10:30 am Friday November 28, at the Daigle Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 am Friday at St Mary's Catholic Church in Eagle Lake. Committal service will follow in the parish cemetery.
