- Edward S. Marshall, 94, of North Andover, passed peacefully Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2016, at Prescott House in North Andover.
Edward was born in Winchester, Massachusetts, on July 29, 1922, to the late James E. and Constance (Syer) Marshall.
He was a graduate of Reading High School. Edward served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II aboard the USS Hutchinson during the Leyte Gulf invasion of the Phillipines.
He was employed as a dry goods salesman for Walker Stetson in Boston and more recently W.S.Emerson Company in Brewer, Maine, from where he retired as top salesman. Upon retirement, he and his wife travelled the world extensively.
Edward is survived by his wife of 69 years, M.Jeanne (Whidden) Marshall of North Andover and his two daughters, Linda Kyomitmaitee and her husband Paul of North Andover and Carol Timberlake and her husband Douglass of Rockland, Maine. Also among his survivors are his grandchildren, Christopher Timberlake, Emily Kyomitmaitee and Jonathan Timberlake as well as his great grandchildren, Alison and Anastaysha Timberlake. He was the loving and devoted patriarch of the family and will be dearly missed.
A private graveside service will be held at Forest Glen Cemetery in Reading.
