Edward's Story

NEW LIMERICK AND CRYSTAL - Edward D. Campbell, 78, passed away peacefully at his home December 21, 2014. He was born February 15, 1936 in Island Falls, the son of Basil and Hazel (Wilkens) Campbell.

Edward grew up in Crystal where he worked on a dairy farm for his teenage years. He made his living farming for several years, worked as an independent truck driver that lead to his working for the MDOT, where he retired from after 29 years. He was predeceased by his older brother, Scott Andrew Campbell and a grandson, Kristopher Neal Campbell.

His is survived by his wife of 60 years, Reginia (Emery) Campbell; six children, Ann Campbell and her significant other, Dale Swimm, Edward Dean Campbell Jr. and his wife, Laurie (Lindsay) Campbell, David Leroy and his wife, Karen (Betts) Campbell, Debra Jean Crane, and her husband, John, Cindy Campbell Webb and her significant other, Bill, Donna Lynn Campbell; 14 grandchildren, 7 great- grandchildren; brother, David Campbell and his wife, Donna; several nieces and nephews.

The family can not thank Dr. Abouleish and the staff enough for everything that they did. Hospice of Aroostook (Jane and Erin), our thanks for all your help.

At Edward's request there will be a private graveside service in the spring. Arrangements by Bowers Funeral Home, Houlton.
