WILLIAMSBURG - Edna Young Hunt, 97, passed away May 18, 2014, at Hibbard Nursing Home, Dover-Foxcroft. She was born Aug. 13, 1916, in Milo, the daughter of Harry and Alice (Hoskins) Pray.
Edna was an avid reader and she enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a former member of the Milo Grange.
Edna is survived by a son, Thomas Young and his wife, Eva; four grandchildren, Eric Young and wife, Debbie, Mark Young and wife, Cherilyn, Marcia Conlogue and husband, Hazen IV, and Paula Grover; six great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Ben, Tiffany, Alexa, Abby, and Marissa; and a great great-grandchild, Zack. She also leaves six nieces, including a special niece, Ina Banker and husband, Richard; a nephew; and a niece-in-law, Sandra Powell. She was predeceased by two husbands, Francis Young and Joseph Hunt; siblings, Lala Hughes, Louise Hughes, Opal Ellis, Harry Pray, Frank Pray and Corrine Barden; and nephews, Harry Hughes and Robert Pray. Edna's family extends special thanks to the staff at Hibbard Nursing Home for the wonderful care she received.
A graveside funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 21, 2014, in Evergreen Cemetery, Milo, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Condolences and memories may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
