HUDSON - Earl F. Dyer, 66, died peacefully surrounded by family May 31, 2016. He was born August 22, 1949, in Bar Harbor, a son of Earl A. and Ruth I. (Tear) Dyer.
A kind, caring, and generous soul, Earl was always willing to lend a helping hand or even give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He will be remembered for his keen sense of humor, practical jokes, and his ability to turn a negative situation into a positive. His love for family was evident, he spoiled his wife of 50 years, doted on his children and grandchildren and a special niece Dani. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting fishing and camping. He held various jobs throughout his working career including being a long haul truck driver, oil burner technician, and automotive mechanic, and a chef at several restaurants. He was also a Lt. with the Glenburn Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mina (Blanchard) Dyer; three daughters, Amy-Jo Brawn and her husband, Tiger, Ann-Marie Boulier and her husband, Norman, Janet Lea Keezer and her husband, Kevin; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Henderson and her husband, Albert and Ruth Cambridge and her husband, James; many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews; and his canine companion, Peanut, who misses him dearly. He was predeceased by his parents.
A potluck gathering will begin 11AM Saturday, June 4, 2016, at his residence, 82 Brandy Lane, Hudson, ME 04449.
