E.'s Story

MILLINOCKET - E. Dillon Roach left this world on July 15, 2014 in the early evening. She was born June 17, 1922 in Fredericton, N.B., the daughter of Kenneth and Edith (Clark) Sloat. She was predeceased by her parents, her devoted husband Willie and sisters, Juanita MacDonnell and Catherine Anne LaPlante of Millinocket.

Dillon worked many years at Joe & Mary's Restaurant and later in life at Kidney Pond Camps.

Dillon is survived by three daughters, Gail and husband, Robert Rideout of Rochester, NY, Susanne Wedge of Scarborough, and Billee and husband, Gary Morrison of Inverness, FL. She leaves 6 grandchildren: Willie Wedge, Lennie and Robbie Rideout, Melissa Adams, Shannon Horvath and Tabor Badger; 10 great-grandchildren: Rachael Dollinger and Derek Rideout, Emily and Abby Wedge, Jesse, Cody and Alexis Rideout, Jett and Nolan Badger, Darien Horvath; 2 great-great-grandchildren: Ekiah and Ariana Dollinger. She is also survived by her favorite cousin, Bill Barrett of Fredericton, NB., as well as several nieces and nephews. Her lifelong best friends had all passed before her.
