E. Louis's Story
- E. Louis Boyle, Jr., 74, passed away June 3, 2017, at St. Joseph's Hospital. He was born in Portland, September 12, 1942, the son of Elmer and Virginia (Meader) Boyle.
Louis was a member of Local 716 Plumbers and Pipefitters; and owner and operator of Boyle's Cycles, Inc. until his retirement. He enjoyed riding the back country roads with his wife in anything that burned gas. Louis also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and family.
In addition to his parents, Louis was predeceased by his brother, J. Michael Boyle; and brother in law, William Connors. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joyce (Connors) Boyle; two children, Shelly (Boyle) Reese and her husband, Alan of Kenduskeag; E. Louis Boyle III and wife, Diane of Glenburn; grandchildren, Jennifer (Reese) Greenier and husband, Zachary, Alan John Reese, Jr., and Riley Boyle; two great granddaughters, Addison and Emma Greenier; siblings, Linda (Boyle) Senecal and her husband, Adrien of Brewer, Paula (Boyle) Thomas and husband, Gary of E. Holden; sisters-in-law, Faye M. Boyle, Pat MacDonald and Katie McCutcheon and husband, Bob. He is also survived by his nieces, Heidi Plourde and husband, Jeff and family, Kim Armen, Sherry Turgeon and family; nephews, J. Michael Boyle, Jr. and Tammy Smith, Craig McCutcheon and Eric McCutcheon, and their families, Peter Armen, William Senecal and Michael Senecal, and their families, Justin Connors and his family. A special thank-you to Dr. Chris Ritter, Dr. Vanadia, and the staff at St. Joe's Infusion Center.
Family and friends are welcome to call 6-8 p.m. Monday, June 19, 2017 at Birmingham Funeral Home, 438 Main St., Old Town, where a brief memorial service will be held at 7:30 p.m., with Rev. Peter Remick officiating.
