HOULTON AND LITTLETON - Dwayne G. Goodall passed away October 5, 2015 at Houlton Regional Hospital. He was born January 28, 1939 in Oakfield, the son of Theodore Goodall and Avis Goodall Boutilier.
Dwayne graduated from Oakfield High School, went on to serve in the U.S. Navy for 3 years where he received his training in electronics. He was employed by Univac in New York and then on to Philco Co. working in Kodiac, Alaska in 1962 where he had the privilege of tracking the 1st. Satelite sent into orbit. He worked in Guam for a short time, and then started with New England Telephone and Telegraph in 1964. Dwayne worked through Bell Atlantic, Nynex, retiring from Verizon in 2001. Dwayne was a member of the United Baptist Church of Littleton since 1971 where he served as a Deacon, and on many other committees. He also worked with the youth groups. Dwayne especially loved being appointed as Honorary Deacon.
Dwayne is survived by Mary Goodall his beloved wife and best friend of 51 ½ years, (his special little girl: MazyMae). three sons, Gary Goodall and Luetta of Smyrna, Kenneth Goodall and Colleen of Plymouth MA, Thomas Goodall and Vicki of Littleton, grandchildren, Brandy Clark of Smyrna, Alyssa, Colby, Parker Goodall all of Plymouth, MA, Craig Goodall of Bangor, Kristen Goodall of Houlton, special great grandson Krayton Hogan of Smyrna. He also leaves behind his mother in-law Arlene Howe, sister-in-law Sally Callnan and her husband Tom, brother-in-law Sonny Howe and his wife Jo.
and the extended family, Duska McGuire and Danny Howell of Houlton, Josh and Heather Way, Joshua, Mia and Riley of Norway, Me.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Roger Goodall, four sisters, Dorsey, Jeanette, Barbara and Darlene. A father-in-law Stanley Howe and a brother in-law Richard Howe.
Friends may call 6-8 PM Thursday October 8, 2015 at the Dunn Funeral Home 11 Park St. Houlton. Funeral services will be conducted 10AM Friday at the Littleton Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Straubel officiating. Interment will follow at Littleton Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to the church fellowship hall for a time of refreshment and remembrance following the interment.
